Junior B’s: The Junior panel are the toast of the parish this week when the  Junior double was achieved  last Friday night after the league final win over a gallant Seans outfit in Rockcorry. This was a game which left everybody on tender hooks up to the final whistle but our Boys held firm and ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-10.  Onto the game we were slow to start and Seans ran into a 3 point lead but we came strongly to level matters up with a Mark Mc Ardle goal. It was very nip and tuck at this stage and coming into half time we were awarded a penalty after groom to be Mark Meegan(getting married the next day) was fouled and the aforementioned Mc Ardle dispatched with aplomb to leave the half time score 2-0 to 0-4. Into the second half scores were hard to come by and a wee piece of tactical awareness from the management when they introduced Niall Keenan for the injured James Keenan got things going and scores from Mark Mc Ardle, Colin Clerkin and Brendan Finnegan left us 1 point in front entering the last quarter but cometh the man Niall Keenan cometh the hour hit 5 unanswered points to leave us 5 in front entering injury but a goal from Seans reduced it to 2 but another 1 from Keenan after good work from experienced campaigner and impact sub Lee Conlan left us winners at the final whistle.  This was a great campaign and credit must be given firstly the management team of 3 wise men Gerard Mc Geough, Seamus Markey and our First Aid Person Rose Mooney and lastly the team this was team of youth and experience you had the Mulligan brothers (Paul & Gary), seasoned campaigners like captain Thomas Hughes, Stephen Hamilton, Mark Meegan and Lee Conlan the experience of Brendan Finnegan, Clayton Wilson, David Shevlin  youthfulness of the Sheridan cousins( Alan, Keith, Patrick & Eoin), Stephen Deery, Niall Mooney, Colin Clerkin, James Keenan, Niall Keenan, Mark Mc Ardle, Damien Duffy, Bannigan brothers ( Pauric & Eugene), Declan Mc Geough, Seamus Courtney and the baby face assasins of Colin Fox and Paul Connolly and lets not forget other players who contributed during the year Colm Gorman, the Forde brothers(Chris & Simon) and last but no means least Thomas Meegan. Thanks for all your help. Team v Seans Gary Mulligan, Alan Sheridan, Keith Sheridan, Colin Fox, Paul Connolly, Paul Mulligan, Niall Mooney, Thomas Hughes, Mark Meegan, Damien Duffy, Mark Mc Ardle(2-2), Colin Clerkin (0-2), Stephen Hamilton, Brendan Finnegan (0-1), James Keenan Subs Niall Keenan (0-5) for James Keenan, Lee Conlan for Damien Duffy, other subs Clayton Wilson, Patrick Sheridan, Eoin Sheridan, Seamus Courtney, Declan Mc Geough, Stephen Deery and Eugene Bannigan.
