Sean’s Notes
Adult team. Last Wednesday evening in Newbliss our senior team had a comprehensive win over neighbours Killeevan in the Junior Football League on a score line of Killeevan 0 -6 Seans 3 -12. The goals; a brace from David Mc Entee and a third from James Treanor setting our boys up for this victory. They will be hoping for similar good fortune for their Wednesday evening game this week when Toome are visitors to Phairc Sheáin Mhic Dhiarmada. On Sunday at 7.00pm our reserve side also have home advantage for Oram’s visit to club headquarters. Our Junior Championship clash with neighbours Aghabog is provisionally fixed for Friday 9th August.
Under 8/10 the Everyone attending coaching for this age category are aware and should note that their new coaching time slot begins this Friday evening 3rd August from 7.00 to 8.30pm. Part of this extended time period will be devoted to playing small sided games…well I’m told by the coaches involved for those at least who are practicing the skills and are mastering the pick-up, and the four step rule!!!
Cultural Night: We look forward to our next Traditional Irish Music session. This occurs on Friday 9th August, the 2nd Friday of the month. So remember, keep the 2nd Friday free, everyone is welcome to this terrific night’s entertainment! Refreshments served. We look forward to seeing you all there.
Sports & Festival. Because of the undoubted exodus to Croke Park this week end the committee have decided to defer festival activities. The car treasure hunt will be rescheduled as hopefully will our sport day.
Totto. The numbers 1, 6,2,4,3,5,7,8 drawn on Monday night last for a jackpot prize of €9,500 were not correctly forecast. The lucky dip winners were.
