                                                                                  Sean’s Notes

Congratulations.   Pride of place this week goes to our minor and senior county teams for their heroic performances in Clones last Sunday. When the game seemed to be going away from them the minors to their great credit stuck to the task and produced an unbelievable finish to finally lay that 68 year bogey and lift an Ulster Minor Football title for Monaghan.  The seniors produced an incredible performance to overcome the All Ireland champions Donegal, the tactics, their work rate and intensity of the game over the whole seventy minutes had to be experienced to fully appreciate what a victory and performance this really was. Congratulations to Frank and his young charge, to Malachy and everyone involved and especially our own Mark Keogh who joins a small elite group of Sean’s club men with Ulster Football championship medals. Roll on Croke Park!!!
