Flag Day
Thank you to all who helped out at the flag day and especially all who supported the collection. Without this financial
support we would not be able to function as a juvenile club.
Our U8’s travelled to Magheracloone on Thursday evening last, despite missing a number of regulars due to holidays the boys put up a very good performance. Ronan O’Reilly in goals was very secure and never put a foot wrong. In defence Sean McMahon, Mickey McEntee and Conal Marry tackled and passed the ball well. At midfield Conor Burns and Colin Murphy were in top form. The fowards of Sean O’Reilly, Darren Murphy and Cian O’Donoghue worked hard and kicked many fine scores. Well done lads.
The U10’s played in the Inniskeen tourament on Saturday past, with a number of players on holidays the team management had only a small squad to work with, this however did not deter the Killanny team who worked their socks off through out. In goals Cian Burns made many fine saves and cleared his lines well. The defence of Tomas Gartlan, John Gartlan and Conor Burns worked hard and made sure the opposition got no easy scores. In midfeld Cillian McGahan and Dara O’Shea linked defence to attack and never stopped running. The attack featuring Cillian McConnon, Ciaran Finnegan, Dara Finnegan and Iarla Gartlan never stopped trying and scored some fine goals and points. Overall a good performance by all involved.
The Cul Camp that took place last week was a great success with numbers up on previous years. The coaches were impressed by the skill levels of all those who took part. Thanks to all who ensured that the week was such a success.
