                                                                                  Sean’s Notes

Results: Crawley Cup RFC Donaghmoyne 1 – 16 Seans 2 -10

Fixtures: JFC Sun 16th June Killanny V Seans venue Drumhowan 2.30pm

Adult Team news.  On Sunday next at 2.30pm in Drumhowan our adult team take to the field against Killanny in the quarter final of the Graphic Design Junior Championship. Supporters and everyone involved with the squad will be hoping they came produce a similar performance as they did in the opening period of the previous round against Toome, only this time for the whole hour; because those that witnessed their recent league clash against Sundays opponents will be aware only a top drawer performance will be good enough if they are to reverse that league result and progress to the semi-final of this knockout competition at the Geraldine’s expense. Can I encourage all Seans supporter to make the effort to get behind our team on Sunday, remember throw in is 2.30pm. In the Crawley Cup semi-final meeting with Donaghmoyne on Saturday evening last which took place in Inniskeen our lads despite some good individual performance were beaten by a better balanced all round Donaghmoyne outfit on a score line of Donaghmoyne 1 – 16 Seans 2 – 10, the goals which help keep our boy in with a shout coming from Patrick Kieran (snr) and Danny Mc Nally.Althought this particular piece of silverware has eluded them they might yet be contesting for league honours with a couple of rounds still to be decided in that competition. Training continues at the usual times and all members are asked to attend.

Juvenile Fundraiser.  All players’ members and supporter are asked to put Saturday evening 7th July into their diaries. That the date that the Youth committee of the club have organised a 5/10Km Walk & Fun run, leaving from the complex around local roads, followed by a Barbeque and live music in the Social centre. We hope everyone will make the effort to participate, as well as encouraging and supporting our young juveniles when they call requesting sponsorship.

Under 8/10    Coaching for everyone in this age category continues on Wednesday evenings from 6.45 to 7.30pm and on Saturday mornings from 10.00 -11.00am. .

Ceili Dancing. Ceili dancing classes continue in the complex this Sunday at the usual time of 6.30pm -7.30pm. Paula, Edel & Michelle look forward to seeing all their regulars there.

Cultural Night:  Our next Traditional Irish Music session  takes place this Friday, 14th June; in our club’s social centre. Everyone is welcome to this terrific night’s entertainment! Refreshments served. We look forward to seeing you all there.
