Senior Footballers
Our senior team when down to a strong enough Truagh outfit last week by a score line of 1-15 to 0-13.
Truagh got off to a blistering start after ten minutes which saw them take the lead with a score line of 1-07 to 3 points. However the lads hung in with a few points from Paul, Ronan, Colm Meegan and Mixie Lennon. That got them to half time trailing by 1-08 to 0-05.
And as Shown on a few occasions this season the guys kicked into gear in the second half to make a real contest of it. With ten minutes to go we had them pegged back to 1-11 to 13 points, courtesy of points from Paul, Ronan and Mattie McKenna
However the resurgence hit a wall in the 54th minute when Mickie Fitzpatrick was sent to the line for a second yellow card.
Truagh ran out eventual winners; however the lads can take a lot from the game.
We are still in 5th place in the league, however with 2 games in hand on our closest rivals, so all is not lost.
Team: Pauric Dowdall, Alan Ryan, Anto Keenan, Trev Hillard, Mixie Lennon (0-01), Micky Fitz, Padraig Garland, Gerry McArdle, Seamy Loftus, Robbie Lorenze, Mattie Mc Kenna (0-01), Eugene McArdle, Ronan Meegan (0-05), Paul Meegan (0-05) and Colm Meegan (0-01)

Inniskeen Camogie Notes
Our U14 girls have started their competitive games in the Louth League with games against St Brides Knockbridge and St Kevins Philipstown.
St Brides proved very stiff opposition and were comprehensive winners in the end. The game against St Kevins was a more tightly contested affair and although we didn’t come away with a win our girls exhibited some great passages of play.
Our U12s also got their season off to a start with a game against St Kevins, and again, with the result unfortunately not going our way the girls really put in a wholehearted effort with some terrific displays of skill.
Upcoming fixtures for the girls see them pitted against Cooley, St Anne’s and Collon.
Julianne will be in touch re training and no doubt with another couple of training sessions under their belt winning ways will soon be restored.
Our U8s & U10s continue their training every Tuesday evening in Grattan Park at 7pm – 7.45pm. They too will be togging out in the red & green as the blitzes are not far off now. Messages will be sent out to parents in advance.
Senior Camogs training continues on Monday evenings at 7pm. Lorraine will be in touch with details of upcoming fixtures.
Bon Voyage to top defender Karen Croften who is emigrating to Canada and comhghairdeas to county star Isabel Kieran on her recent enganement to Ciaran Rafferty. Linda is busily organizing a night out for us all to toast your future happiness!!! Best wishes to you both.
