U-14 –Our U-14’s produced a heroic performance on Tuesday last to retain the Div 3 championship courtesy of a 5-08 to 2-11 win over Latton. Heavy rain on the evening left conditions far from ideal for this clash but great credit must go to both teams for producing a marvellous display of football.  The never say die attitude, energy and skill of this group of young men have been key attributes in their successful run throughout the championship and ultimately propelled them to victory on the night. The squad of players that represented the club was Premek Karkut, Tommy Monaghan, Robert Haynes, Adam Murtagh, Leon McCabe, Caine Toal, Kian McAree, Blain Smith, Darragh Hamill, Regan McAree, Caolain Reilly, Donal Leonard, Paul Monaghan, Stephen McCluskey, Brendan Reilly, Dylan McCaffrey, Jamie Genoe McMahon.  Following the presentation of the cup to captain Regan McAree, the team and supporters returned to Smithboro for refreshments and further celebrations.

On Saturday last we returned to league action and recorded a 4-19 to 5-13 away to Clontibret. Next game is at home to Toome this Saturday at 12noon.
