Doohamlet GFC Notes

Reserves:   A very understrength Reserve team took the field against Ballybay on Friday evening last in this O’Duffy Cup clash played in ideal conditions at O’Neill Park. Doohamlet played well and a little more composure in front of goal would have had more scores but Ballybay pulled away in the second half and showed their greater experience. Credit to Martin Hughes and Ted Duffy for their dedication to this team. With so many absentees for different reasons it is so difficult to assemble fifteen players and to fulfil fixtures is a great accomplishment. U-12s:   Well done to our Under 12 team who won the McBennett Cup on Bank holiday Monday at the Blackhill Sports.

10K-6K Run/Walk:  Our Annual Run/Walk will take place in the village on Friday 28^th June at 7.30pm. This is a very enjoyable event when joggers and walkers of all ages and levels can meet and hopefully the weather will shine.

Lorcan Duffy Golf Classic:  Friday 26^th July Rossmore G.C.  Plans are now in full swing for our second Golf Classic for the Lorcan Duffy Cup. Toome GFC are defending champions and we invite All clubs to enter a team and for a modest 120 euro and indeed any four players can enter a team for a great day of golf.  

Ulster Championship:  Doohamlet GFC wish Colin Walshe and all his Monaghan team-mates and Management every success as they begin their Ulster Championship campaign v Antrim this weekend.

Blotto:  No Jackpot winner last week. Numbers drawn were 1,4,3,6,5,7,2.
