Seniors:
The Senior panel had a challenge match against Latton in Iniskeen last Saturday evening. This was a good run out for the lads and a good test as they prepare themselves for the Championship in the coming weeks.
Juniors:
Our Junior side took on local rivals Iniskeen last Friday evening in the Quarter Final of the Crawley Cup. This was a tight encounter throughout, the sides were locked at eight points each at half time but an impressive display from the lads in the second half saw them run out five point victors. They now face Seans in the semi final of the competition next Saturday evening at 7pm in Iniskeen. But before that game they faced Carrick away in the league. See official results for the result.
U14s:
U14s had a week to forget last week. On Tuesday evening the lads took on Ballybay in the Quarter final of the Championship. This was a great game of football and both temas played some great football, unfortunately the lads didn’t take their chances and they were unlucky to be beaten by a goal. Then on Friday evening they took On neighbours Carrick away. This time the lads weren’t so close and they were comprehensively beaten by a strong Carrick side.
U12s:
Both U12 teams, the 11 a side and 9 a side teams had their first games in the league in the last week.On Monday evening the 9 a side team travelled where they took on Harps. This game was a tight encounter played in poor conditions. Thankfully our lads came out on the right side of a one point win to start their league campaign with a win. The on Wednesday the 11 a side team made the trip to Seans. Unlike Monday evening this game was played in perfect sunny conditions and the lads ran out comfortable winners. Good to see both teams starting the league with a win. This week sees the lads return to action. The 11 a side panel take on Eire Og at home on Thursday evening at 7pm andon Saturday the 9 a side squad take on Cremartin at home at 12.
Mini Fontenoys:
The minis training continues Saturday at 11 in Donaghmoyne. All new children from the ages of u6s up to u10s are welcome. Every child must have a gumbshield otherwise they cannot participate. Cost is €2 per family. Also any parents willing to get involved in coaching are more than welcome.
