BOOGIE IN THE BOG – It’s Here!

The big weekend has finally arrived and it promises to be a great few days entertainment so please make sure you call down to the clubhouse at some point over the coming weekend.

Friday 14th June:
Pat McEneaney will host our version of ‘Family Fortunes’ with a number of neighbouring clubs and organisations taking part. This will be followed by a performance from the Aghabog Dramatic Society and it promises to be a great night’s entertainment. Show starts at 8:30pm.
Saturday 15th June:
The night we have all been waiting for as country music sensation, Lisa McHugh, will perform. There will also be music by ‘Midnight Cowboy’. Tickets are €10 and will be available on the night. Show starts at 9:30pm.
Sunday 16th June:
The weekend will literally end with a bang as Old School ABC, Smithborough host their ‘Boxing Bonanza’ starting at 6pm.

JFC Result: Aghabog 0-10 Eire 0g 1-05

We had a hard fought win over neighbours Eire Og in the Championship last Sunday. While it was far from a vintage performance, it was the desired result and we progress to next round due to take place the weekend of 21st July.

JFL Fixtures:

Aghabog v Emyvale in Rockcorry on Wednesday 12th at 8pm.

Aghabog v Toome in Toome on Sunday 16th June at 12:30pm.

Reserve Championship ¼ Final: Aghabog v Emyvale in Emyvale on Friday 14th at

7:30pm.

Juveniles:

U12

Result: We lost out to a very strong Carrickmacross team last Saturday.

U14

Next Fixture: At home to Rockcorry on Thurs 20th June at 7:30pm.

Local Cul Camps:

The Monaghan GAA Cul Camps will commence shortly with a number of local camps.
Clones: July 8th – 12th
Monaghan Harps: July 15th – 19th
Eire Og: July 22nd – 26th

Cost of Camps:
1st child 55 euro
2nd child 45 euro
3rd child 40 euro each, & 35euro if a child wants to attend another camp (without gear).

LADIES NOTES

U/10 Blitz:  Good luck to our U/10 team as they take part in the Castleblayney blitz this Saturday at 10am.

Boogie in the Bog:  All roads lead to the clubhouse this weekend for our annual “boogie in the bog”. Entertainment starts Friday night with ‘club fortunes’. Lisa McHugh takes to the stage on Saturday night. Smithboro’s old school boxing bonanza will finish off our weekend. Ticket’s still available for Saturday night from any committee member.

Sympathy:  The club extends sympathy to Patsy and Margaret McPhillips and family, Drumhirk, on the recent death of Margaret’s mother, Kathleen Quigley.
