Adult Team news. Training continues at the usual times on Tuesday and Friday evenings, all panellists are requested to attend.  Last week they travelled to Toome and secured a draw against their host on a scoreline of Toome 1 – 11 Seans 1 -11; with games against Oram and Emyvale this week and a home tie against neighbours Aghabog on Sunday 19th they will be hoping they can rediscover the industry and work rate that marked their opening few league performances and especially in the run up to the championship. That Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship rematch with Toome is scheduled for Friday 24th May in Drumhowan at 7.30pm.

Under 8/10    Coaching for everyone in this age category continues on Wednesday evenings from 6.45 to 7.30pm and on Saturday mornings from 10.00 -11.00am. Remember have your gum shield with you!!!.

Minor On Tuesday night our minor team in a high scoring game were defeated by Latton on a scoreline of 2-10 to 3-21.The Seans started the game well with a goal from Pearse Murphy, Colin Mc Elvaney added a second after a great solo run. Latton came back into the game  capitalising  with unerring accuracy from a number of frees and went in at the break leading by 5 points .Seans defence were under the cosh  but goalkeeper Conor Freeman was in sparkling form denying the Latton attack with three brilliant saves, and his intelligent use of kick outs help ease some of the pressure. Adam O Driscoll’s move to midfield spark a revival and the margin was reduced to 3 points midway through the second half, despite this rally, late goals ensured a Latton victory. This squad are operating with a very small panel and are currently missing a number of players through injuries which hasn’t helped their cause as is evident in their last few games. All available players are needed for the remaining matches but with the exam break now almost upon us everyone hopefully will be back fully fit when action resumes again in July. Training continues as usual. The panel on duty were Conor Freeman, Niall Murphy, Ryan Mc Guinness, Aaron Mc Nally, Matthew Mc Guirk, David Mc Kenna, Enda Connolly Colin Mc Elvaney, Niall Kearns, Sean Freeman, Luke Killoran, Dylan Mc Nally, Pearse Murphy, Dylan Keenan, Adam O Driscoll. Subs used Paul Bannon, Shane Farrell & Dara Bell.

Under 16.Our U16 team had a very close match in Clontibret last Thursday evening and just shaded the issue at the finish on a scoreline of 1-13 to 3-9. Clontibret converting some vital frees kept in touch throughout but goals from Adam O Driscoll, Paddy Mc Phillips & Dylan Mc Nally helped ease our boys over the line in the end.. Ryan Connolly was steady in goals, solid in front of him were Jamie Keenan, Aaron Mc Nally & Darren Morgan. Shane Kelly won a lot of loose ball and up front Mark Murphy worked hard along with Marty Mc Guirk. Niall Kearns and Niall Murphy got through telling work around the middle of the field while Sean Grant and Rian Mc Entee also caused plenty of bother for the Clontibret defence. Subs used Ashley Corrigan & Aidan Ward.
