Seniors: The Seniors defeated Rockcorry by 2-14 to 2-7 last Wednesday evening. The Scotstown team and scorers were: Rory Beggan; Damien McArdle (0-1), William Carroll, Fergal McPhillips; Mark Duffy, Donal Morgan, Ciaran Treanor; Peter O’Hara, Francis Caulfield; Emmet Caulfield (0-1), David McCague, Darren Hughes (1-1); Brian McGinnity (0-4), Kieran Hughes (1-7), Sean Mohan. Substitutes used: Tom Moyna, Pauric Keenan, Mark Treanor, Shane Rice, James Hamill. They followed that up with a good 2-16 to 0-9 win over Castleblayney on Sunday afternoon to stay top of the League. The team and scorers were: Rory Beggan; Damien McArdle, Fergal McPhillips, Ross McKenna; Mark Duffy, Donal Morgan, Pauric Keenan; Francis Caulfield, David McCague; Emmet Caulfield (0-2), Brian McGinnity (0-4), Darren Hughes (0-1); Paul Grant, Kieran Hughes (2-3), Shane Carey (0-2). Substitutes used: Sean Mohan (0-4), Peter O’Hara, Ciaran Treanor, Mark Treanor, William Carroll. Next up is a home fixture this Sunday against Carrickmacross at 2pm.

Juniors: The Juniors lost out to Blackhill on Sunday afternoon by 1-13 to 1-4. The Scotstown team and scorers were: Cian Mohan; Niall McKenna, Matthew McCague, Adrian Carbin (0-1); Shane Rice, Damien Blondie McKenna, David Caulfield; Damien F McKenna, Declan McCarville; Conor Caulfield (0-1), Mark McKenna (1-0), James Connolly-Hughes; Nicholas Corrigan (0-2), Christopher McAleer, Mark McDevitt. Substitutes used: Jason Carey, Barry McMeel, Michael Corrigan, Gerard McKenna. The Juniors travel to Smithborough on Saturday evening for a clash with Éire Óg, throwing in at 7pm.

Under 21: The next fixture is scheduled for Friday evening, May 17th away to Clontibret at 7:45pm.

Minors: The Minor team had a win at home to Emyvale last Friday evening, 3-14 to 1-7. Scotstown team: Conor Forde; John Caulfield, Caolan McElwain, Philip O’Connell; Francis Maguire, Mark Fox, Jack McDevitt; Michael McCarville, Donnacha Dolan; Kieran Treanor, Brendan Boylan, Jamie Mohan; Conor McKenna, Conor McCarthy, Jack Turley. Substitutes used: Conor Bogue, Kevin Treanor, Aaron McKenna, Kieran McGuirk, Garbhan Harraghy. The Minors take a break now until July.

Under 16: The Under 16’s were beaten by 4-12 to 0-6 against St. Patrick’s in Ballybay last Saturday evening. The next game is at home to Clontibret on Thursday evening, May 16th at 7:30pm.

Under 14: The Division One team played a Clones/Currin combination at home on Tuesday evening, and are away to Magheracloone on May 28th. The Division Five team are at home to Truagh on Saturday at 12 noon.

Under 12: Our U12 teams lost their Finals to Inniskeen and Latton on Saturday last in Cloghan. The B side lost to Inniskeen by 7 points to 6. The panel was: Conor Caulfield, John Campbell, Jamie Treanor, Cathal Meehan, Paul McPhillips, Dylan Rhattigan, Tristan Moyna, Daniel Tolan, Darren Treanor, Jamie Maguire, Callum Connolly, Padraig Sherry, Evan McKenna, Brian McElwain, Cathal Nally, Sean Treanor, Mark McPhillips, Ciaran McQuaid, Ryan Larmer, Cathal Caulfield. Latton were strong opposition for our U12 A side with the result going Lattons way on final score of 16 points to 10. Team: Gavin McPhillips, Joseph McKenna, Aaron Boylan, Michael Meehan, Bradley Maguire, Connor Lappin, Ray Tracey, Niall Corrigan, Peadar Smyth, Darragh Murray, Fergal Keenan. The Summer Leagues will be next on the agenda, beginning in the coming weeks.

Development Draw: Ticket sellers are out in force for our Development Draw, with a car and other valuable prizes on offer. Tickets are priced at €20 each or three for €50. They are also available on the Scotstown GAA website, with Paypal/Credit Card payments accepted.

Ladies Senior and Minor: Training every Tuesday at 7.45pm and Friday at 7.30pm sharp. Please be on time. If you are unable to attend training, it is important to contact team management.

Ladies U16: Training every Monday and Thursday night in Kilmore at 6.30pm. Please bring registration form and money to team management ASAP. Match this evening Thursday away to Aughnamullan at 7.00pm.

Ladies U14: Training every Monday and Thursday in Kilmore at 6.30pm. Please bring registration form and money to team management ASAP. The girls had an excellent performance last week defeating Tyholland. They were at home to Donaghmoyne on Monday, and lets home their winning streak continues.

Sympathy: The Ladies club would like to offer their sincere sympathy to the Moyna family on the sudden death of John, our thoughts and prayers are with the family, may her rest in peace.

Ladies Registration: Club registration is now overdue for 2013. Please give to team management or club registrar Martina Larmer. U18s – €35, over 18s – €50. If you are not registered you will be unable to train or play matches, registration is for one year, from May 2013 to May 2014.

Sympathy:  Sympathy is extended to the friends and family of the recently deceased who include John Moyna, Quiglough and Pat McMeel, Carrickroe.
