Seniors: The Seniors remain unbeaten so far this season after an away win at Magheracloone last Wednesday evening, 1-12 to 1-9. The Scotstown team and scorers were: Rory Beggan (0-3); Damien McArdle, William Carroll, Eddie Beggan; Emmet Caulfield, Donal Morgan, Mark Duffy; Peter O’Hara, Stephen Sherry; Paul Grant (0-3), Darren Hughes (0-1), Mark Treanor (0-1); Shane Carey (0-1), Kieran Hughes (1-3), Shane Rice. Substitutes used: Tom Moyna, Brian McGinnity, Sean Mohan. They had another away game at Rockcorry on Wednesday evening, and are away again on Sunday afternoon against Castleblayney at 4pm.
Juniors: The Juniors drew with Killeevan on Wednesday evening, 0-11 to 0-11. They had a home fixture versus Toome on Wednesday evening, and take on Blackhill away on Sunday at 2pm.
Reserves: The B team progressed in the O’Duffy Cup on Friday evening with an away win at Cremartin, 1-12 to 0-5. The Scotstown team and scorers were: Cian Mohan; Ross McKenna, Ciaran Treanor, Adrian Carbin; Mattie McCague, Pauric Keenan, Barry McMeel; Stephen Sherry, Paul Grant (1-1); James Hamill, Tom Moyna (0-2), Paul Sherlock (0-2); Sean Mohan (0-2), Conor Caulfield (0-1), Mark Treanor (0-2). Substitutes used: Emmet Caulfield (0-1), Damien McArdle (0-1), David McCague, Jason Carey, Evan Murray. They will now take on Clontibret in the quarter-final at the end of the month.
Under 21: The next fixture is scheduled for Friday, May 17th away to Clontibret.
Minors: The Minor team had an eight point win at Emyvale last Tuesday evening, and were up against Truagh on Tuesday of this week. There is another League match this Friday evening (May 10th) versus Emyvale at 7:45pm in Scotstown.
Under 16: The U16’s had a convincing win at home over Monaghan Harps on Thursday last. A goal apiece from Leonard McDermott and Adrian Grew set them up with a 2-5 to 0-2 half-time lead. They continued the strong performance right through the second half to finish the game on a final score of 3-12 to 1-5. Subs Used: James Sherry, Mathew Rowe, Shane Moran, James McCague, Alan McKenna. The away fixture against St. Patrick’s has been rescheduled for this Saturday afternoon at 3:30pm in Ballybay.
Under 14: The Division Five team were narrowly defeated by a Clones/Currin combination on Saturday. The Division One team take on Clones/Currin at home on Saturday, May 18th, while the Division Five team are at home to Truagh on the same day.
Under 12: The Spring League Finals take place this Saturday at Cloghan. The B team are in action first against Inniskeen at 2pm, followed by the A team versus Latton at 3pm.
Under 10/Under 8: The Under 8’s & Under 10’s continue training in Kilmore on Saturday mornings at 11am.
Under 6 Nursery: Help is needed with the forthcoming Under 6 nursery which is due to begin shortly, running on Saturday mornings. Anyone interested should contact David McCague on 087-6202242.
Recreational: Recreational football training continues every Thursday evening at 7:15pm in Kilmore. New players welcome.
