Monaghan Harps strengthened their position in second place in the Drumlin Group of Credit Unions Senior Football League with a three-point win over Latton in a game that was moved to Ballybay on Wednesday evening. The sides were level at 0-5 each at half-time, but a Neil McAdam goal helped the Harps take a six-point lead and even though Latton hit back with a goal from Hugh McElroy, it wasn’t enough.

Monaghan Electrical

Cremartin finished strongly to pick up their first win of the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League at home to Clones. Clones led by 0-7 to 0-2 at half-time, with David and Darren Freeman among their scorers, but the latter was sent off and Darren Bishop found the net to bring Cremartin back into it. The game went down to the wire, but late points by Kevin McVicar, Kevin Atkinson and Josh McWilliams won it for the hosts.
