Lotto. The numbers drawn in the Club Lotto this weekend were 1, 3, 8 and 24. The jackpot was not won and the four winners of the Lucky Dip were Linda Irwin, Inver Heights, Carrickmacross, Christy O’Reilly, Shercock, Anne and Phil Lambe, Corlea and Sharon Finnegan. The next draw will take place in the clubrooms on Monday 13th May and the Jackpot will be 1,900 euro.

 

Under 12 Finals. In all the Magheracloone fixtures this week the “stand-out ” fixture is the Under 12 Spring League final competition in Cloghan on Saturday. This young team has played outstanding football during the recent campaign and will make the journey to Cloghan with the intention of continuing this successful run.

A festival of football will be on offer on this Saturday and the Magheracloone team would welcome all support on the big day. Magheracloone’s two team will feature in the early afternoon with a game against Drumhowan at 2.00 and while the other Magheracloone team will face Killevan at 3.00.

All Magheracloone supporters are encouraged to come along to witness what will be an exciting afternoon of football and to encourage our stars of the future.

 

Website.  The new club website will be officially launched in The Fiddler’s on Friday 10th May at 8.00.p.m. Come along to witness the moment when the new website goes live for the first time. All are invited. The website will contain up to date information on all club activities as well as reports on games and activities past and present.

 

 

Monthly Meeting. The monthly meeting for May will be held in the clubrooms on Tuesday 14th at 8.30. All members are invited to attend.

 

Fixtures Senior League.  The league continued on Wednesday evening, May 8th, with a visit from near neighbours Carrickmacross. On Sunday 12th  Ballybay will be the visitors with the throw in timed for 2.00 p.m.

 

Reserves.   The Championship began for the Reserve team with a game on Friday 3rd May away to Monaghan Harps.  The home team proved to be the stronger outfit that evening and so progressed to the next round.

 

 

 

Minors.  The minor league continues on Friday evening, 10th, with a game versus Carrickmacross.  This is an away fixture for Magheracloone and the throw in is timed for 7.45.

 

 

Under- 16 League. This team got the season under way with a game against Truagh.  The points on offer were claimed by the Truagh team and Magheracloone will be hoping for better fortune when the team in Killanny on Thursday with a 7.30 start. This is followed up with another away fixture on Thursday 16th with against Cremartin. This game is also due to begin at 7.30.

 

Open Night in Cloghan. Come along to Cloghan on Friday from 7.30 and meet the county senior and minor players and see  the trophies won to date. This is the annual open evening and a number of novelty competitions along with Family Fun will make for an entertaining hour or two. Why not make a visit to Cloghan and then come back to Carrickmacross for the website launch?

 

Bereavement. The club wishes to extend sympathy to the family of the late Margaret Courtney, Corlea. May she rest in peace.
