Juniors
Our game with Scotstown last night was cancelled due to them playing Oram in the championship this week-end.
Under 21
Aughnamullen 0g 6p
Cill Eanna 2g 14p
A steady performance by us in which 8 of our players got on to the scoring board in this under 21 clash with Aughnamullen led by County player Pete Dooney on Sunday morning last. Gavin Traynor was first to register but Aughnamullen equalised. Free from Stephen McMahon, and points from play from Tommy Kierans, Niall Grimes, Tiernan Duffy followed. Another free from Stephen McMahon and an excellent 45 from Conor Vernon against the wind on the 17th minute. Aughnamullen moved Pete Dooney to midfield and Ronan Duffy followed and Ronan got the better of this tussle as he sailed upfield and slotted over the bar. Stephen added another free, Sean McDonald added another followed by the score of the afternoon with an excellent point from Conor Vernon from 50 metres out. Aughnamullen scored their second point  on the 27th minute to bring the half time score to 11p to 2p. We started off the second half in the same fashion with 2 points from Stephen and Gavin. Aughnamullen were getting more and more possession but scores were hard to come by. On the 16th minute Tiernan Duffy made a great run through the Aughnamullen defence parted to Tommy Kieran who slotted home past the goalkeeper. Aughnamullen replied with a point and then came the Seamus Darby catch by Tommy Kieran who slipped in behing the defence, nudged his marker, caught the ball and shot past the goalie for his second goal of the day and wrap up the scoring for us. Andrew McMahon and Michael Vernon joined the field after injury and did their bit. Aughnamullen added their third point of the half.  Our next game is against Donaghmoyne.
Congratulations
Well done to Adam, Andrew and Shane and the County Minor team and their victory over Antrim in the first round of the Ulster Championship.
 Get Well
We wish Andrew Kieran and Cillian Leegan a speedy recovery after their injuries recently.
Exams
Good luck to all our students who are sitting their exams at the minute.
U10’s Training on Wednesday’s at 6.00
Under 8
Our U8’s travelled to Carrickmacross on Saturday morning for their first Blitz of the year. It was the first time that most of these boys have worn the Killanny jersey and going on their performance on the day they have a bright future ahead of them. We fielded two teams both of which were very competitive.
U8 & U6
Training every Thursday from 6.00 to 7.00. Any parents interested in helping out would be more then welcome.
