The annual handball presentation night takes place on Friday 31st May in Latton at 9pm. Medals and trophies will be presented to all winners and runners up in the various grades from throughout the year. Golden Masters; Martin Mc Entee winner & Conor Mc Donald runner up.
Medals will be awarded to all doubles winners and runners up in each grade.
Also the winners and runners up of the GAA league and Senior league will be presented with their trophies. It is essential that all those to receive medals are present on the night. Thanks to Bawn Handball club for hosting the event and a good nights craic is promised.Everyone is welcome, so come along and celebrate the end of a very successful year of handball and check out the trophy that might be yours next year.

Rocks of Bawn festival 2013 celebrating 80 year’s of handball in bawn. , Friday 14th June, night of Irish music and dance in the marquee featuring local and invited artists young and old, Saturday 15th,redeadacation and blessing of old alley at2pm followed by tug of war at handball alley and music by ‘break the bank ‘that night .Sunday 16th, vintage run for cars tractors and bikes starting @ 2pm, also cake sale and music at 7 pm by Brendan mc Cathy followed by indoor duck racing and rambling house band, beer tent all weekend . charity handball blitz in the 40+20 court all weekend open to all adult grades. Harps Handball
While the small court season is over there are several tournaments available for One-Wall players. The Williamstown tournament is over and the good news is that Eoghan Mc Ginnity has won the Under 11 singles for the second year in a row. He emerged victorious from an entry of 16 players. Not to be outdone his sister Louise won the Plate competition. Next for Eoghan is the Mount Talbot tournament and the Ulster One-Wall. Finally comes the Irish Nationals which will be held in Breaffy House, Castlebar. These tournaments are open to all age groups with entry details on the GAA website. Following on from his very successful 2012 season and with this recent victory, Eoghan has been chosen by the Monaghan Handball Board for a Special Achievement award. Ramunas Ramanauskas is to receive the Juvenile Player of the Year award for his historic All-Ireland victory. The county awards will take place in Latton on Friday and all our successful players are expected to attend. The club will receive another award on Tuesday next from Monaghan County Council for Sports Club of the Year.
ONE WALL NATIONALS
The entry deadline for this years Irish One Wall Nationals is Friday 31st May. All entries must be made online on the GAA Handball website.The system shuts down at midnight of 31st.
The 2013 One-Wall Nationals will return to Breaffy House Resort in Castlebar from 27th -30th June.
ULSTER ONE WALL
The first ever Ulster One Wall competition takes place this weekend in Ballygawly with the top one wall players from all over the province slogging it out see who’s “top dog” in Ulster. Best of luck to all competing.
