Doohamlet GFC Notes

Seniors:  Carrick 4-07   Doohamlet  3-12

Doohamlet gained their first two league points on Wednesday evening last with a hard earned win away at Carrick.  Doohamlet were dominant throughout but a concession of soft goals allowed the home side to stay in touch.  Our goal scorers were Greg Duffy, Kevin McArdle and Shane McManus.

A busy period ahead for our Senior team as we were due to play Ballybay last night and we travel to Clontibret on Sunday with a 4pm throwin.

Minors:  Our Minor team continue to impress with a comprehensive win against Emerald Sarsfields 3-14 to 1-11. This  team continues to improve with every game and hopefully can claim a semi final spot.  No fixtures until all exams are complete and we wish everyone well at this important time.

U12  Spring League Final:

Doohamlet v Carrickmacross Bs will take place on Friday 10th May at 7pm in Cloghan.

Well Done:  To our enthusiastic cyclists Grace Hughes, Ollie Hughes, Ted Duffy, Shane McManus and Gavin Duffy who cycled from Cavan to Dundalk last weekend.  This very worthwhile cause was in conjunction with 2fm “Cycle against Suicide” and again well done to all.

Fundraising:   It’s that time of year again when we plan our finances and we have a number of upcoming events to add to you diary.  May/June  10km fun run/6km walk.  July – Breakfast Morning.  July/August  –  Golf Challenge.  Autumn – Stage Play.  More details later.
