Senior Football
In the Intermediate League we played Donaghmoyne last Wednesday night at home, in Scotshouse.To use the time worn cliches and say that this was a ‘wake up’ call or that ‘goals win matches’ is being a little simplistic in summing up this performance. We got off to an excellent start but went in at half time 1-3 to 0-4 down. Two early goals for the visitors gave them the initiative and with the momentum firmly in their favour they ran out deserving winners on a scoreline of 4-6 to 0-9. Team and scorers:- Fergal Connolly, Dara Brady, Conor Mc Caffrey, Sean Brady, Enda McCaffrey, Ben Clerkin, Gerard O Callaghan, Dick Clerkin, (0-5), Ciaran Mc Caffrey, Niall McEntee, Francis O Callaghan, Stephen Beatty, Jack Mc Carron, (0-1), Philip O Callaghan, (0-3), Kieran Kearns. We played Corduff last night in the Intermediate League away in Corduff. Our next home game is on Sunday next 12th May at 4.00 p.m. in Scotshouse against Cremartin.
Reserve Senior football
The Reserve football League Division Three continued last week, with an away fixture against Emyvale. In a comprehensive victory Currin were deserving winners on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-1. Next game is away to Monaghan Harps on Wednesday 15th May, at 7.45 p.m.
Youth Affairs
U-12s. Both teams have reached the finals of the Spring leagues which will be played on Saturday next in Cloghan. The first game is at 1.00 pm against Tyholland and the second game is at 2.00 pm against Latton. Best wishes to all concerned. Your support would be much appreciated
Club Meeting
At our monthly meeting it was decided that we would run a ’Come dine with me’ event in conjunction with ‘the Gathering’ on the August bank Holiday weekend. This will be an occasion not to be missed, more details to follow.

A big congrats to Daniel Mc Kenna on a great first round of the BRA championships last weekend. Despite a puncture on Saturday, Daniel recorded five fastest stage times after this setback to finish ninth overall and set him up for a good campaign over the summer.
