Corduff Ladies:

Seniors:

On Sunday evening our Seniors were away to Inniskeen. This match was a real test for Corduff as we fielded an experimental side as opposed to a more seasoned Inniskeen team. As always the girls rose to the challenge. Young Keely Culleton was in goals with Laura Sheridan, Ciara McEnaney, Niamh Callan, Hannah Finnegan Colleen Callan & Nicole Carragher in the backs. Laura McEnaney & Amy Treanor was the midfield pair. In the forwards were Sarah McEnaney, Barbara Ward, Sarah Burns, Amanda Cooney & young Dearbhla Callan. Inniskeen dominated the 1st half. However there were some good passages of play between the McEnaney sisters Laura and Sarah. Laura played very deep while scoring the Corduff total of 5 points in the first half to Inniskeen’s 3 -12. Without a doubt Corduff had their work cut out for the second half. Directly after the restart they got into action taking good scores and narrowing the margin. The backs increased their work rate and there were some good bursts through from Colleen and Ciara while the younger girls Hannah, Laura, Niamh and Nicole also defended well. From midfield we had Laura, Eva & Barbara taking scores. Young Elena McEnaney replaced Nicole and set up Eva for a great goal. Dearbhla, Amanda,Sarah Burns and Sarah Mc Enaney all played their part. The final score was Inniskeen 3-15 Corduff 1-15. Top scorer for Corduff was Laura May with a total of 0-13! The girls deserve credit for reducing that margin. Credit also to Ciaran Ward and Martin Hanratty on the sideline. Welcome back to Amanda Cooney who we look forward to seeing more of in the future. The Seniors are at home to Truagh this Sunday at 6pm.

The U14s are away this evening to Doohamlet.
