Corduff Ladies:

U12:

Congratulations to the Corduff U12 team winners of their Spring League Final in Cloghan on Saturday.

U14s were at home to Emyvale this evening. Despite the fact that we were missing a couple of players who were injured the girls put in a very spirited performance right to the final whistle. In the first half the goal keeper Amy and the backs Keely, Naoise, Ciara  and Chloe were under severe pressure. Dearbhla and Ellie worked tirelessly at midfield to work the ball forward. The forwards had a great 2nd half. Elema dominated the score board scoring 1 – 9. Ellie and Annie were also a constant threat in front of goals. Welcome back to Lauren Culleton who put in a great performance on her 1st night back.

Final score was Emyvale 4-6 Corduff 2-9. We would like to wish Saidhbh Cassidy and Rebecca Carragher a speedy recovery .U16s:

The U16s put in a great team performance against St. Brigid’s last Thursday with a final score of Corduff 10 – 12 St.Brigid’s 1-3. The game was played at a brisk pace from the throw-in with Corduff scoring 6-6 in the first half. Every player put in a great effort. Amy Marron guarded the goals while the backs Keely Culleton, Eibhlin Clinton, Jessica McMahon and Sinead Mc Mahon patrolled their area making it difficult for St.Brigid’s to score. The midfield pairing of Niamh Callan and Hannah Finegan dominated midfield. The forwards Eva Woods, Dearbhla Callan, Ellie Comiskey and Elena McEnaney kept the scores coming. The partnership of Eva Woods and Hannah Finnegan was unstoppable in front of the posts. Elena McEnaney showed how versatile a player she is by being switched from the forwards to backs and likewise Keely Culleton was switched from backs to forwards scoring a goal in the process. Top scorer was Eva Woods with 5-6 closely followed by Hannah, Ellie, Keely, Dearbhla and Niamh.Peter Brennan provided the guidance they needed from the sideline. All in all a great performance. Welcome back to Sinead McMahon and Laura McEnaney. This evening, Thursday the U16s are away to Eire Og.
