Under 8/10. Well done to all parents who brought their children along to our opening coaching session for this age category and stayed to offer encouragement and support. We hope to see all forty participants back again on Saturday morning next from 10.00-11.00am. A word of appreciation to everyone for their cooperation in embracing the gum shield rule and to the children themselves for their determination in using them despite some obvious discomfort. A wee reminder about bringing your own personal juice/water bottle and of course don’t leave that mouth protection at home either!

Minor. Our minor squad produced a battling performance in the opening round of their Division 2 League campaign on Tuesday night last when they travelled to Clontibret for a very exciting and entertaining game which finished level Clontibret 1 -15 Seans 3 – 9.Ryan Mc Guinnesss marshalled his defence from his full back position and did well to curb the scoring exploits of his opposite numbers a lively and alert Mickeal O Dowd.Up front Pearse Murphy at full forward proved a handful for the Clontibret defence having a hand in all 3 goals, scoring one and setting Luke Killoran and Sean Freeman up to raise green flags. Aidan Ward and Jamie Keenan landed a couple of lovely long range points, others to get their names on the scoresheet were Niall Kearns,Mathew Mc Guirk,Colin Mc Elvaney Adam O’ Driscoll substitute Dylan Mc Nally slotted over a nice point too. Dylan, Ryan Hughes and Patrick Mc Phillips all equipped themselves well when introduced, and contributed handsomely to the team’s battling performance.
