ROCKCORRY G.A.A.

CLUB NOTES

23rd April 2013

Drumlin Credit Unions Senior Football League

We played our second game of the Drumlin Credit Union senior football league last Saturday 20th April when we made the long journey to Inniskeen to take on Magheracloone. The game was tit for tat for most parts and the lads produced passages of some top quality football but sadly some of our scoring opportunities didn’t translate onto the scoreboard while Magheracloone on the other hand were much more clinical in possession and two well-taken goals in the second half was ultimately the main difference as they secured the victory in this highly entertaining encounter on a score-line Magheracloone 2-9 Rockcorry 1-8. A full match report and a selection of action photographs can be viewed on our website www.rockcorrygaa.ie. It was great to see a big improvement since our debut, against Monaghan Harps, as all players upped their energy levels and performed well showing complete determination. They worked tirelessly for each other throughout the match putting some nice moves together and certainly took the game to Magheracloone. Moving forward it is important that all players, both senior and reserve, continue to attend training in order to maintain a high level of performance and to overcome the hectic and exhausting fixture schedule that faces us and other clubs during the mental month of May!
