Blitz

Our U10’s played in their first blitz of the year on Saturday past in Cloghan. There was a good turnout of players all glad to be back playng football after the winter break. As the games progressed players were played in a variety of positions and it was evident that everybody had been practising their skills over the winter. Michael Grimes and Cian Burns were both a safe pair of hands in goals. John Gartlan, Christopher Tobin and Niall Quinn all tackled tigerishly and made good use of possesion. At midfield Cillian McGahan, Oran McGinty and Dara O’Shea worked tirelessly and made many good passes. In attack Matthew Mathers and Iarla Gartlan were in top form with Killian McConnon and Tomas Gartlan showing they have an eye for goal. A Killanny Inniskeen combination also took part where Mickey McEntee, John Kelly and Conor Burns all played well, with the Inniskeen coaches loud in their praise of the Killanny lads.
