Guinness Book of Records – This Saturday the 4th Of May the club will take part in an attempt to break the world record for the largest Three Legged Race. It will be a Guinness book of records event and if successful will break the current world record. The event is been run by Cootehill Celtic Hurling club in conjunction with all GAA clubs around Ireland and will double up as a fund raiser for every club that takes part. The club is using this event as an opportunity to raise money for Monaghan Cancer Treatment Support – supporting local people with cancer. We want as many people as possible on the main pitch in Smithboro for 10:45am sharp on the 4th May to get prepared for the attempt at 11:30am. It promises to be a great morning’s crack so please spread the word & tell as many people as you know and invite your friends, cousins, neighbours etc… up for the event. This is an ideal event for parents to participate with their children in. Each individual participant will need to register on the morning and have a fully completed sponsorship card and funds with them. Sponsorship cards of €3 per line (5 lines on a card) will be distributed over the coming days. All participants will receive a certificate to confirm their world record achievement. For further details contact Frankie Neeson 087 686 2680.
