Seniors:

Our Seniors took on next door neighbours Iniskeen last Sunday away from home in windy conditions in Pairc Grattan. Donaghmoyne played against the very strong breeze in the first half and went in 8 points down at half time. This proved to be too big of a gap to close and we lost out on a scoreline of 0-13 to 0-06. The lads faced Aughnamullen away from home on Wednesday evening. See next weeks notes for the result.

U21s:

The U21 panels match last Wednesday evening was called off. See fixtures and notes for upcoming matches.

Minors:

Minors made the trip to Latton on Tuesday evening, see next weeks notes for results.

U16s:

The U16 panel travel to Monaghan this Thursday evening to take on the Harps in the league. The lads are looking to continue their good start to the year with a victory but know it won’t be easy as always. Throw in is at 6.45 in Gavin Duffy Park and all players are asked to be in Donaghmoyne for the bus to Monaghan at 5.30.

U14s:

U14s start off their season with a league opener away to Fergal O Hanlons this Saturday morning. Throw in is at 12 o clock in Monaghan. Bus leaving Donaghmoyne at 10.45, need to see all players there to get a good start to the year.

U12s:

Both U12 teams, the 11 a side and 9 a side teams had their second matches in the Spring league competition last Saturday morning as both teams faced Iniskeen.  The 9 a side team made it two wins from two as they comprehensively beat their opponents. It wasn’t so good for the 11 a side panel though as they were beaten by a decent Iniskeen side on a very windy day in Pairc Grattan. Training for both teams takes place Saturday morning from 11-12.

U10s:

The U10s played their 1st game in their Community Games competition away to Killany. This was the groups 1st time playing together and was a tough game. They give a good display and ran out 7 point winners to start their campaign with a win. Their next game was on Wednesday evening 17th April at home to Carrick. See next weeks notes for the result.

Mini Fontenoys:

The minis training continues Saturday at 11 in Donaghmoyne, weather permitting. All new children from the ages of u6s up to u10s are welcome. Every child must have a gumbshield otherwise they cannot participate. Cost is €2 per family. Also any parents willing to get involved in coaching are more than welcome.

Recently Deceased:

The club extends their sympathies to the Kingham family Broomfield on the death of their father Louis Kingham.

Best Of Luck:

Best of luck to the Donaghmoyne Community Games teams who are taking part in the Ulster Finals this weekend.
