Dance DVD Premiere Night
A great night was had in the clubrooms where the DVD of So You Think You Can Dance was shown for the first time. This rounded up what was an extremely successful fundraiser and also a great community event. Copies of the DVD are on sale for €10 and are available in the club.
Senior League
We play Carrick on Saturday in Clontibret at 7pm. This is followed by an away game against Ballybay on Wednesday at 7.15pm.
Reserve League Division 1
Clontibret 1-16, Magheracloone 0-9. We scored well last Wednesday to record a good win over Magheracloone. Clontibret 5-10, Latton 2-6. Some great performances helped us overcome the Latton challenge to pick up two more valuable league points. Our next game in this league is on Wednesday, 24th April at home to the Harps at 7.30pm.
Reserve League Division 3
We take on Emyvale at home on Sunday at 2pm. This is followed by another home game against the Harps on Saturday, 20th April at 7pm.
U21
We played ‘Blayney on Wednesday gone by, result next week.
We have a break for a few weeks now with the next game scheduled for Wednesday, 1st May away to Truagh at 7.30pm.
Minor
Clontibret 1-15, Seans 3-9. A high scoring affair in a game where we led for most of the match but Seans scored a goal at the end to go a point up while Michael Paul O’Dowd snatched a late equaliser.
We are due to play Killanny on Tuesday in Killanny at 7pm.
U16
The match against Toome didn’t take place last week.
We have a home game against the Harps this evening at 7pm, and next Thursday we play St. Patrick’s in Drumhowan at 7pm.
U14
Clontibret 6-11, Eire Og 3-12. A good result by the boys in a high scoring game saw us pick up two more league points.
Clontibret 6-6, Latton 6-10. After an excellent first half performance we built up a good lead but a much more lacklustre display in the second half saw Latton catch up and overtake us to win the match. We play Toome at home on Tuesday at 6.45pm.
U12
We have a home game against Killeevan on Saturday at 12pm.
The next game for the u12s will be on Tuesday, 23rd April at away to Oram at 7pm. Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday unless a match is scheduled for that day.
Nursery
Training tomorrow, Friday from 6pm-7pm for u6 and from 7pm-8pm for u10 boys only in the Community Centre.
Sympathy
The club extends its sympathy to Liam and Patricia Ward and family on the death of Niall Ward last week. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Hurling
The seniors got their season started with a 1-16 to 0-08 win over Castleblayney in the Development league last Thursday. They have a home game tonight v Inniskeen at 7pm. All players to be there for 6.30pm. Congratulations to our minors who helped the county retain their division 2 title last Friday. Well done to Aodh Curran, Michael Paul O Dowd, Ryan O Neill, Shane Mooney, Colin Todd and Killian Lavelle.
U16 county development squad trials are in Cloghan tomorrow (Friday)at 8pm.
