Scotstown

March 12th, 2013

Reserves: The Scotstown B team had their second league outing of the season on Sunday afternoon when Clontibret visited Páirc Mhuire. The visitors had the better of the first-half exchanges, but were only two points ahead at the break, 0-4 to 0-2. Both of the Scotstown points came from converted free-kicks from the boot of Sean Mohan. The sides exchanged points at the beginning of the second half, before Daniel McNally struck a goal to put the Blues in front for the first time in the match. Elliot Maguire hit his second point of the day to extend the lead a minute later. As the snow fell, Scotstown conceded three frees which Clontibret duly converted. Sean Mohan also registered a point from a free in the closing minutes, but two late points secured the win for Clontibret. The Scotstown team and scorers were: Cian Mohan; Shane Rice, Ross McKenna, Adrian Carbin; Paul Sherlock, Mark Treanor, Elliot Maguire (0-2); David McCague (captain); Tommy Moyna; Sean Mohan (0-3), Mark McDevitt, Daniel McNally (1-0); Dermot McCrudden, Conor Caulfield, Mark Hand.
