Camogie Notes
All County Blitz
The All County Blitz moved to Clontibret last Sunday instead of Inniskeen, due to the National League Hurling match being played in Grattan Park along with the difficulty for clubs to start the blitz at the earlier time of 11am.
The Blitz is the first outing of the year for the Camogs of Monaghan and certainly the focus for the Inniskeen cailini was to shake off cobwebs of the long winter break and get back into the saddle.
With 3 games played the girls made a good account of themselves considering it was Mother’s Day and many of our players were unable to attend as they were being treated to breakfast in bed and lunch outings!
Well done to new captain for the year Linda Callan and her team mates Louise McArdle, Bernie McGahon, Karen Croftan, Julianne Finnegan, Alice McGahon, Sharon McGahon, Lorraine Lynch, Dearbhla Crawley, Gillian Hamill and Cathy Deery. Also thanks to David who managed the team on the day and to Michelle – his able assistant!
Training
Camogie Skills Training will take place on Wednesdays now at 7.15pm with David (not on Mondays as previously stated) and then players can join with the ladies footballers for fitness training at 8pm. All new and past players are always welcome to join.
