Reserve Senior football

The 2013 season of Senior Football began on Saturday evening last at 7.00 p.m. when we opened our campaign in the Reserve football League Division Three with a home fixture against Toome in Scotshouse. Played in beautiful spring conditions, this was an excellent game of football contested with great vigour by both teams. Early on the teams were well matched but a goal by Kieran Kearns midway through the half saw Currin take a grip on proceedings and with captain Niall Mc Entee leading by example and scoring freely, Currin deservedly led at half time on a scoreline of 1-8 to 0-3. In the second half Currin continued to dominate and excellent points from Eoin Morrow, Cian North and Ryan Beattie along with another goal from Niall Mc Entee say Currin comfortably record their first win of the season. Final Score, Currin 2-15, Toome 0-6. Team and scorers, Seamus Mc Quaid, Tommy Maguire, Sean Brady, Marc Connolly, Dara Brady, Enda Mc Caffrey 0-1,  Cian North 0-1, Eoin Morrow 0-3, Paddy Mc Dermott, Aaoron Casey, Niall Mc Entee (c) 1-8, Shane Brady, Daniel Mc Entee, Ciaran Kearns 1-0, Ryan Beattie 0-2. Juvenile and Youth affairs.

Training started for U14’s, Clones/Currin, in Clones on Monday evening in Largy College. U-14 Div 1, first game is on the 23/03/2013 and Div 5, 9-aside first game is on the 20/04/2013. U-16’s, Aghabog/Currin training will commence very soon.
U-12’s training has started on Fridays at 5:30 to 6:30 at Largy College, Clones, and Sunday morning at 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the Currin football pitch. Don’t forget gumshields!
All juveniles membership fees are due now and should be paid before training commences.

Community Centre

A Cake Sale will be held next Sunday, Sunday 10th March after 10,.00 am mass. All support for our Community Centre will be greatly appreciated.

Administration

It has reached that time of the year again. Membership is due in the coming weeks and can be paid to any committee member.
