The County Board meeting fixed for Monday last in the Shirley Arms Hotel had to be postponed due to the inclement weather. It has been rescheduled for Monday next 12th February.
U14 7-a-side Ulster Blitz
‘The Mid Ulster Sports Arena will be hosting its annual U14 7-a-side Ulster Camogie Tournament (Shield & Cup) on Sunday 17th February 2013. This event will commence at 11am and will hopefully finish by 2:30pm and is open to all Camogie teams in Ulster.
Teams wishing to attend must be registered as soon as possible. The entry fee is £10 per team. This event is an excellent opportunity to prepare teams for the upcoming U14 season.
P.R.O. Training course
The Camogie Association have organised a PRO Training Event which will take place on Saturday March 2nd in Croke Park from 10.00am to 2.30pm. (Lunch is served at 1.30pm)
They invite all County, Club, Provincial, Second and Third level officers and members of the Association to attend. Topics will be delivered by experienced practitioners in 45 minute inter-active workshops. The PRO Training event is open to all officers and members of the Association. Attendees are advises to bring a lap-top/and/or ipad
Workshops on the day are as follows:
· The Role of the PRO and how to work effectively, including presentations
· Dealing with radio & print media
· IT & Social Media
The event will also include the official launch of the Camogie Association Social Media Guidelines and Set-Up by President of the Camogie Association Aileen Lawlor.
The PRO Training event costs €10 to attend including lunch & a ticket to the All Ireland Club Final. Early booking is advised and the closing date is Feb 22nd.
Camogie ‘Caman Get Hooked’ Level 1
A “Caman get hooked” level 1 course for the Monaghan & Louth region will be held on 8th 9th and 16th February 2013 in Killeavy GAA Club, Armagh. With only a few places remaining clubs should ensure they have at least one coach attending in order that development will continue within their club
