Alpha Lotto – Letters drawn in Sunday nights draw were  W,C,Q and A. There was no jackpot winner. The winners of the €20 lucky dips were  Mags & Bernie, c/o Bernie’s, Chloe Mc Bride, Mulladuff, Michael Mc Mahon, Roslea, , Anna Fitzpatrick, Magherarney – MD, Carmel Kelly, Fermoyle,  Jimmy Leonard, Stranagarvagh, Aidan Boyle, Selloo. Next Sunday nights draw takes place in the Skule Inn with the jackpot standing at €6,100. Team D will be on lotto duty. Many thanks to all buyers and sellers for the continued success of the draw.

Membership – Club membership at €20 can be paid to Enda McCluskey as soon as possible.

St. Macartan’s College Gala Ball – In 2013 St. Macartan’s College are celebrating 100 years of Gaelic Games in the college. To mark this milestone the college is inviting all past pupils to join them at a special Centenary Gala Ball on Saturday February 16th in the Hillgrove Hotel for a reunion of past pupils and teachers for what promises to be a night to be remembered. Within our club there are many past pupils and this is a unique opportunity for them to support their ‘alma mater’. All proceeds will go to the redevelopment of the ‘’bottom pitch’’. Monaghan GAA Coaching Workshops Monaghan GAA Coaching & Development have announced details of coaching workshops taking place during January & February. All workshops are being held at Cloghan, are free of charge and are open to all coaches. The first of these workshops is on Wednesday next, January 23rd from 7.30 – 9pm. Titled “Speed Endurance with and without the ball”, This  session will look at practical methods to increase players fitness levels both before and during the playing season. Tutor is Roger Keenan (Ulster GAA). The second workshop is on Wednesday 6th Feb from 7.30 – 9pm. The title of this workshop is “Developing Systems of Play”.

This session will look at strategies and systems of play that will get the best from the players at your disposal. Tutor(s) are John Morrison / Terence McWilliams (Ulster GAA). The third and final workshop is for Wednesday 13th February from 7.30 – 9pm. The title of the workshop is “Games to Develop Football U16 to Senior”.  This session will be based on Games (small-sided, conditioned and Full sided) to improve varioues aspects of Team-Play. Tutor will be Tony Scullion

Ulster GAA Coaching & Games Development Conference will take place in the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown, on Saturday 26th January. This year’s theme is ‘Thinking Coaches Produce Thinking Players’. Sympathy – The club extends deepest sympathy to the Shay Toal & Family on the death of Mary Treanor, Drumdart, Tydavnet and to the family & family of the late Mary McKenna, Corholland, Smithboro. .
