Of the Booze On the Ball

In 2012 Currin blazed a trail for the rest of the GAA fraternity with their award winning contribution to this national programme. Plans are in place to repeat this venture in 2013. If any member is interested in taking part in this healthy lifestyle initiative they should contact our chairman, David or captain Ciaran or Ben as soon as possible. This can be the start of your 2013 health and fitness regime. By the way you don’t have to be a club member to take part.

Thomas Rehill, R.I.P.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Thomas Rehill, Aughareagh, Scotshouse who passed away recently. ‘Tommy’, as he was widely known, had been in poor health for a number of years and had been lovingly cared for in his home by his family. Tommy was a dedicated ‘card player’ who loved his game of ‘twenty-five’. We in Currin G.F.C. extend our sympathy to his sisters, Eileen, Annie and Margaret and to his brothers, Matt, Pat and Charlie. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal.

2013

Currin G.F.C. wishes all it’s members and supporters a very Happy and prosperous New Year for 2013. Special good wishes are extended to all those who have family away from home, and don’t forget, that if you have any news items that may be of interest to anyone, especially those abroad, please forward them to pro.currin.monaghan@gaa.ie. for inclusion in the notes.
