Have a Happy and successful 2013 from Ballybay Pearse Brothers
New Year Day Swim. What a great start to 2013 with over 30 swimmers taking part in the swim in a cold Lough Major on a lovely sunny New Years day morning. All ages took part and they were supported by many spectators on the shore line who cheered them on. It was a marvellous community event. Many thanks to Therese Smyth for organising the event. Thanks to Jim Kerr on the lake in the boat, Sheila Linden and Aine Murane for First aid, Benny Smyth and bowling club for use of their facilities and to all who sponsored the liquid refreshment and helped serve it out after the swim. Sponsorship money can still be donated to all those with cards and all proceeds to MIRT-Kieran Finlay Fellowship Trust Fund and Ballybay Pearse Bros. Well done everyone and we can look forward to more of these community events.
