With the festive season almost upon us, it is wonderful to welcome home some more of our emigrants who will spend Christmas with their loved ones and friends.
Michaela arrived all the way from New Zealand on Friday last to the absolute delight of the McGinn family. She hopes to be around until early in the New Year.
Angela also made it home from London but as her arrival coincided with the birth of her nephew, second son to Joanne, she has become an overnight ‘Super Nanny’ in Dublin! Now there’s a little chap who knows the importance of timing!!
Helen will arrive from London on Friday while Aidan has decided that Christmas Eve is time enough – when Dympna has the turkey plucked and the spuds washed! Mairead will arrive from Germany this weekend.
We wish them all a wonderful holiday and hope they catch up with many of their friends and team-mates.
And of course we send special greetings to Aideen who will spend her first Christmas away from home, in Australia. We will be thinking of you Aideen and keeping you posted on the happenings!
Speaking of ‘new arrivals’ congratulations to Ciara (nee McKeever) and Barry Downey on the birth of their beautiful son last week. No doubt ‘big sister’ Shauna, will be a dab hand at the child-minding!
Finally, the club wishes all of you a peace-filled Christmas and health and happiness in the New Year.
