Aghabog and Clones will contest the Eurotech Junior Football League Final next Sunday after they won Saturday’s semi-finals. Seán O’Brien kicked 1-5 to inspire a one-point victory for Aghabog, who held off a late comeback from Emyvale, whose promotions hopes are now over after they led the way for most of the year. Clones had a comfortable win at home to championship winners Drumhowan in the other semi.
Inniskeen took the last semi-final place in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League when they struck for a late goal to edge out Cremartin in an exciting battle on Saturday. Rockcorry beat table-toppers Doohamlet to secure a home semi-final, while Aughnamullen had a narrow win over Donaghmoyne. Inniskeen will travel to Doohamlet in the last four on October 21, while Rockcorry will host Donaghmoyne.
