Senior Championship

The senior championship final will take place on Sunday, 14th at 4pm in Clones.

Senior League

Clontibret 0-9, Harps 0-12. We lost out by three points in a lacklustre performance against the Harps last Saturday. Team and scorers: Arthur Morgan, Colin Duffy, John Paul Mone, Conor Boyle, Donal Carragher, Colum Greenan, David Savage, Eoin Greenan, Paul McGuigan, Rodney Gorman, Conor McManus 0-6, Pauric Boyle, Noel Morgan 0-1, Ryan McGuigan 0-1, Eoin McGuigan 0-1. Subs: Fergal Mone, Darach Mooney, Kieran Greenan.

We are away to Currin at 4.30pm on Saturday in the final league game.

 Reserve League

We played Lattonon Tuesday gone by in a play-off for the semi-final. Result next week.

U14 Division 6 Shield Final

Clontibret 2-10, Rockcorry 5-5. The boys played well in this final and were unlucky to lose out by 4 in a game they could have won. Well done boys on a good performance and on a great year’s football. Many thanks to Kieran Lavelle, Seamus Duffy, Conor McManus and Liam Swift for their help and hard work with this team throughout the year.  U11 Tournament

Well done to our u11 team who took part in a tournament in Emyvale last Saturday. In the first two games they lost out to Emyvale and Greencastle, but in the final game they played to their potential and drew with a strong Scotstown team. Thanks to Sean Michael and Cathal Leonard for their help on the day and also to the parents who took the boys down to Emyvale and helped out.

 U10 & U8 Blitz

A tournament for the u8s and u10s will take place this Saturday in Clontibret at 2pm. All players to be at the field at 1.30pm. The u10s will also be playing at half-time at the county final on Sunday week. There will be no u8 training tomorrow evening, Friday due to the blitz on Saturday.

U13 Blitz

There will be an u13 blitz in Cloghan this evening, Thursday at 7.30pm. All players to be at the hall at 7pm.

U15 Blitz

There will be an u15 blitz in Cloghan next Thursday, 11th October at 7.30pm. all players are to meet at the hall at 7pm.

 Intermediate Final

A big double bill of games will take place at the field this Sunday. This first will be a minor championship match between Magheracloone and Donaghmoyne at 2pm. Help will be needed from 1pm. The second game will be in the Intermediate Final between parishioners Doohamlet and neighbours Tyholland at 3.45pm and lots of extra help will be needed for that game from 3pm. A big turn out is expected so a lot of help will be needed. The last game we will host for the year so all are asked to come along and share the workload.

 Breakfast Morning

Keep free the morning of the county final, Sunday, 14th October for a Breakfast Morning which will take place in the Community Centre from 9am to 12pm. Tickets are available from any club member, in the clubhouse or at the Braeside or you can pay at the door. A full Irish breakfast will be served. Adults’ admission is €10, children is €5 and there will be concessions for families. Make sure to come along to support the club and enjoy a morning’s craic before the big game. Club gear will also be available to buy on the morning to ensure everyone is togged out in the club colours for the game in Clones.

 Coaching Courses

 

Children’s Club Coaching – Wednesday 10th October @ 7:30pm in Cloghan. The aim of this session is to help coaches plan programmes for children for u5s involving the innovative Gaelic Start programme, u8’s the FUNdamentals and the Learn To Train phase i.e. u10s and u12s.  The session will be an information session on what to coach children at these various age groups.

Congratulations

Congratulations to O’Neill Shamrocks u12 team who won the Division 1 final last Saturday beating Scotstown in an enthralling final. Well done girls.

Senior Hurling

Training tomorrow night (Fri) 7.30pm

The club would like to wish the boys good luck in the Ulster Junior Championship quarter final Sun 7th Oct v Na Magha (Derry) in Celtic Park at 3.30pm.
