The provisional 2013 Allianz National League fixtures have been announced, with Monaghan’s footballers getting four home and three away matches. Monaghan are due to start their NFL Division Three campaign with a home game against Meath on Sunday, February 3, followed six days later by a local derby in Cavan. Next up are Sligo at home on March 3, before the short trip to Enniskillen to play new manager Malachy O’Rourke’s former charges Fermanagh on March 9. The Farney men then host Wicklow a week later, before travelling to Roscommon and finishing the campaign with a fourth home fixture, against championship first-round opponents Antrim on April 7. The Ulster derbies against Cavan and Fermanagh are both scheduled to be played under lights.

Monaghan’s hurlers have been handed three away and two home games in the NHL Division 3A. They are set to start on February 24 away to Donegal, two weeks before their first home game against Fingal. Monaghan go to neighbours Louth on the St. Patrick’s Day Bank Holiday Monday, before finishing off with games against Ulster rivals Tyrone and Fermanagh.
