Monaghan’s ladies exited the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship at the semi-final stage when they lost to Cork in Birr on Saturday. Monaghan never hit top gear but they still stayed with the All-Ireland champions for most of the way until Cork hit a late goal to put a gloss on the final score.
Doohamlet qualified for the McGuigan Builders Intermediate Football Championship Final with a hard-earned win over Cremartin in Saturday’s semi-final (see match report).
Scotstown edged out Castleblayney to win the GRM Minor Football League Division One Final on Saturday.
Four days after playing out a draw in the league final, Magheracloone and Emyvale both booked their places in the Maguire Transport Minor Football Championship Division Two semi-finals with narrow wins over Latton and Truagh respectively. The semi-finals will be played next Saturday, when Cremartin will take on Magheracloone in Blackhill and Donaghmoyne will play Emyvale in Clontibret, both games throwing in at 3pm.
