Tuesday’s GRM Minor Football League Division Two Final produced an exciting draw between Emyvale and Magheracloone in Blackhill. A goal by Ciarán McClory helped Magheracloone into a seven-point lead with the wind at their backs in the first half, but Dylan McKenna and Ryan McAnespie found the net to lead an Emyvale comeback. Magheracloone still led by two with time almost up, but injury-time points by Daithí Colton and McAnespie gave Emyvale a 2-9 to 1-12 draw.
The Division Three Final was much more straightforward, with St. Patrick’s running out comfortable winners over Corduff on a scoreline of 3-14 to 1-11, inspired by a 2-7 tally for Dessie Ward. The Ballybay/ Drumhowan amalgamation led by 2-8 to 0-7 at half-time and when they added their third goal early in the second half, there was no way back for Corduff.
Castleblayney won the Gerry’s Prepared Veg. Under-12 Hurling League Cup on Monday, while Truagh took the shield.
