Scotstown are up to fourth in the Drumlin Group of Credit Unions Senior Football League after they won by 2-16 to 0-14 away to Currin under lights on Friday night. A brace of goals by Shane Carey had Scotstown in charge when leading by 2-11 to 0-5 at half-time and although Currin won the second half by nine points to five, there was no way back into the game for them.
Carrickmacross will play Magheracloone in a south-Monaghan derby in the Gerry’s Prepared Veg. Under-14 Football League Division Two Final after Carrick edged out fellow local rivals Corduff on Friday.
Monaghan Harps cruised through to the Division Five shield final with a comfortable win over Scotstown.
