The Maguire Transport Minor Football Championship Division One Final will be between Castleblayney and Monaghan Harps. Beaten league finalists Blayney were involved in a real nip-and-tuck semi-final with Carrickmacross on Saturday, where the Faughs overcame being reduced to 14 men to win by the narrowest of margins in Inniskeen. Meanwhile in Truagh, a virtuoso performance by Fearghal McMahon, who scored 1-9, inspired Monaghan Harps to dump league winners Scotstown out and end their neighbours’ bid for a double.

Magheracloone, who are awaiting a league final replay against Emyvale, are still in with a chance of winning a Minor Division Two double after they saw off Cremartin in Saturday’s championship semi-final. Their MFC Final opponents will be Donaghmoyne, who cruised past Emyvale.

Cúchulains Sarsfields emerged from a one-sided MFC Division Three semi-final against St. Tiarnach’s to book their place in the final against Corduff.
