Meanwhile in Truagh, a virtuoso performance by Fearghal McMahon, who scored 1-9, inspired Monaghan Harps to dump league winners Scotstown out and end their neighbours’ bid for a double.
Magheracloone, who are awaiting a league final replay against Emyvale, are still in with a chance of winning a Minor Division Two double after they saw off Cremartin in Saturday’s championship semi-final. Their MFC Final opponents will be Donaghmoyne, who cruised past Emyvale.
