Our Under 12 team take pride of place this week after their brilliant display last Saturday against Cremartin. As the saying says they kept the best game to last. This was an exciting, entertaining and close encounter throughout. We opened the scoring with a point from Diarmuid Marron; this was quickly followed with a goal from Jamie King. Then in the third minute Cremartin got off the mark with a free but Corduff did respond before cremartin added another point. Corduff work rate was magnificent especially from Dearbhla Callan, Marc Keenan, Cian Callan and Thomas Sherrin. Adam Garvey in Corduff’s goal pulled off a great goal line saves to keep Cremartin out. Jarad Wenham added a further point before half time leaving the half time score Corduff 1-03 Cremartin 0-03. Cremartin started the second half strong scoring 1-1 in the opening minutes. After some hard work from Dylan Finnegan and Jordan Mc Garrell, Corduff got back on level terms which left the score 1-04 apiece. The sides exchanged score in the closing stages with some good work from Daniel Gartland, James Mc Enaney added a point for Corduff before Jamie King closed the game with another point for Corduff. Full time score Corduff 1-08 Cremartin 1-07. This was a great achievement for this young team, they add this medal to the spring zone medal they won earlier in the summer.
