A strong finish to the season has seen us qualify for the semi – finals of the Dr Ward Cup. We will play table toppers Emyvale away on 13th October.

 

Scor:

There will be a Spraoi and Scor na nOg meeting for parents, members and anyone who wants to help out with this year’s competition on Friday 28th September in the Clubhouse at 7:30pm.

 

Coast2Coast:

The cheque presentation night for the Coast2Coast for cancer fundraiser will take place in the clubhouse on Saturday October 6th. Everybody who supported the event is invited to come along so the lads can thank them for making it the huge success that it was. The total raised will be revealed on the night.

 

Juveniles:

Coaching Workshops

•Strength & Conditioning & Running Programme (for 12 to 18 year olds) for clubs & discussion on Development Squads – Tuesday 2nd October & 7:30pm in Cloghan.

•Children’s Club Coaching – Wednesday 10th October @ 7:30pm in Cloghan.   The aim of this session is to help coaches plan programmes for children for U.5’s involving the innovative Gaelic Start programme, U.8’s the FUNdamentals and the Learn  To Train phase i.e. U. 10’s and U.12’s.  The session will be an information session on what to coach children at these various age groups.

 

Card Night: There will be 45 card games in the Clubhouse every Thursday night. First game starts at 9pm. Newcomers are very welcome.

 

 

LADIES NOTES

Training Jersey’s:  Anyone who has ordered the pink training jerseys from Ciara are now available to collect. €30 for children and €35 for adults.

 

All Ireland Tickets: Tickets for the Ladies All Ireland final are now available from any committee member.

 

Mobile phone collection: The club, in conjunction with the Jack & Jill foundation, are still collecting old mobile phones. Only 70 more needed and the club will receive a set of juvenile jerseys. If you wish to donate you old mobile phone, please contact any committee member.

 

Bar-B-Q: Please return any outstanding money or tickets to any committee member.

Sympathy: The club extends sympathy to Aisling, Cailin and the Smyth family, Liscumiskey, on the death of Seamus Croakin.
