Seniors: We resume our SFL campaign after the break with an away match against Scotstown this Sunday at 2pm.
Best Wishes: to Barry Cuddy who this week underwent an operation on a broken ankle he received in the recent SFL match. Well wishers from several gaels throughout the county have been received by the club for a full recovery to Barry.
Minors: Our championship begins next Tuesday, August 14, with a home match against Cremartin at 7.15pm.
Recreational Football Blitz: Recreational football tournament is organised in St. Mellans for this Saturday 11th August. Action begins at 3pm with competition concluding that evening.

U-12: We have advanced to the final of the shield final. Check with management for training.
U-14: Both of our U14 Teams will play at home this Saturday the 11th of August. Our U14b team play Rockcorry at 12pm, players are asked to be at St Mellans for 11.30am. Our U14a team play Monaghan Harps at 1.15pm, Players are asked to be at St Mellans for 12.30pm.
U-6, 8 & 10: Training every Thursday evening in St. Mellans from 7-8pm.
Hurling:
Seniors –Our next match is away to Inniskeen on Thursday 16th August. We then play the shield final against Clontibret on Sunday 19th August.
U-16 – Training this Saturday at 7pm as per coaches.
U-12 – Training continues for all under 12 and u10 hurlers every Friday evening at 6.30pm. These lads now have a break with next game in August.
Ladies Football:
Senior Championship Final: Takes place this Saturday 11th August in Inniskeen at 8.15pm. This is the first time ever for our girls to reach a senior championship final . They play Donaghmoyne. Donaghmoyne are on the run to win their 10th senior championship in a row . We know we have no easy task ahead of us but you can be sure that our girls will play with heart & determination in their quest for championship glory . No leaves will be left unturned . Good luck to all involved . Make the journey & support our girls.
Senior League: Beaten by Emyvale on Saturday last.
Minors: Unfortunately we didn’t get off to a great start last week & suffered a defeat away to scotstown . Training continues as per management.
Liathroid Laimhe:
World Championships 2012. With the World Championships just around the corner we are currently putting together forms for registrations for anyone thinking of competing, there are grades for 11’s and under, 13’s and under, 15’s and under 17’s and under and all level of grades for senior players, anyone think of playing must text you name and DOB to the handball phone on 0871600248 before Friday the 17th of August so we can get all sorted in time.
AGM. We will be holding our Agm on Thursday the 6th of September in St.Mellans at 9pm sharp we hope see as many heads old and new down, due to this being a busy year coming we ask for as much help as possible with committee and coaching as possible, also any sheets been sent out before the agm must be returned beforehand.
Mono League. Due to the World Championships in October we will be starting our league earlier this year so players will have some competitive games under their belt if they are participating in the worlds, so anyone think of making a return to the alley must be registered early to avoid and problems, all monies must be paid to Frank no other member of the committee will be excepting any money. Also any new members please forward your mobile numbers or any existing members with new numbers so we can keep everyone up to date with all that is happening during the year.
Committee Meeting. There is a committee meeting tonight in St.Mellans at 9pm sharp to sort out a few items before the agm and World Championship registrations all please attend.
Speedy Recovery. The club would like to wish Barry Cuddy a speedy and full recovery from an accident last weekend in the football, get well soon Barry.
