Seniors: We drew at home to Magheracloone last Wednesday evening, 0-11 to 1-8. Though getting the game’s first score in the 1st minute, we were 4 points behind in the 16th minute when the visitors got the only goal of the game, 0-1 to 1-2. Both teams added points before the break to leave the half time score in favour of Magheracloone 0-6 to 1-6. We started brightly in the second half and had equalised by the 39th minute with scores from Niall Coyle, Mark Counihan and a 45m from Chrissy McKenna. Magheracloone re-took the lead and were 2 in front with 11 minutes remaining. However, Truagh showed their willingness to gain league points from the match and replied with a Chrissy McKenna point (54’) and an equaliser from Sean McKenna (60’) to level the match 0-11 to 1-8. We then had a match against Carrickmacross on Friday evening. A nasty injury to our midfielder, Barry Cuddy, halted the game in the 29th minute and referee subsequently made the correct decision in abandoning the game. We are now in the middle of the break, and return to action with an away game against Scotstown on Sunday 12th August at 2pm.

Summer Play. As we have seen over the past month the weather has not been kind to us for outdoor activities so why not pop into the alleys and have some light exercise in dry warm conditions.
