Round-up (August 22)

By michael Wed 22nd Aug

Monaghan Electrical

Wednesday was a night of shocks in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League, as the bottom two turned over two of the top four. A hat-trick by James Treanor saw Seán McDermotts stun league leaders Doohamlet in Threemilehouse, moving them level with Corduff in the battle to avoid relegation. The other game produced arguably an even bigger upset, with Toome, who had been well beaten at home to Tyholland earlier in the year, taking a one-point from the north-Monaghan men to keep their survival hopes alive.

Eurotech

Clones are now out on their own in second place in the Eurotech Junior Football League, just two points behind Emyvale, after they struck three goals to edge a narrow win in Oram.

Drumhowan moved within a point of the top of the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football League Division Two with a two-point win over Killeevan.
