Castleblayney will face Carrickmacross and Scotstown will take on Monaghan Harps in the Maguire Transport Minor Football Championship Division One semi-finals – a carbon-copy of the league semis – after Tuesday’s group games. Castleblayney beat Monaghan Harps to top Group A, while Scotstown won Group B after getting a walkover from Carrickmacross.
Donaghmoyne have qualified from Division Two Group A after their high-scoring win over Magheracloone, while Latton only need a point from their last group game to confirm their semi-final place after they defeated Seán McDermotts.
Cremartin eased past Rock Sarsfields to book their semi-final spot from Division Two Group B, while Emyvale were held to a draw by Truagh, meaning their battle will go down to the last round, with Emyvale still in pole position but needing to take something from Cremartin.
Cúchulains Sarsfields (Aughnamullen and Toome) are almost through from Division Three Group A thanks to their win over Tyholland, while the race for second place will go down to the wire after St. Patrick’s (Ballybay/Drumhowan) beat Inniskeen to join the Grattans on two points.
Corduff cruised to victory against St. Tiarnach’s to all but ensure their progression from Division Three Group B, with Blackhill getting the better of Doohamlet to keep their hopes alive.
