AGHABOG JOIN MAGHERACLOONE IN INTERMEDIATE FINAL AFTER  OVERCOMING INNISKEEN

Aghabog advanced to the Intermediate final after a comprehensive win
over Inniskeen on Monday evening last. It was a completely different
story in the first game when Aghabog needed a last minute equaliser to
gain a replay but in the replay Aghabog made no mistake with Ellen Mc
Carron and Aisling Tierney causing havoc. Final score in the replay

Aghabog 6 -15 Inniskeen 0-7

They now go on to meet Magheracloone in the final.

Donaghmoyne and Truagh will decide the Senior outcome

Harps  V Truagh

Harps started this game having lost a great number of their usual team
over the past year to emigration etc, while their team was a mixture
of some very young players to their credit, they battled until the
final whistle.

Truagh were 2-2 up curtsey of Caoimh Mohan/1-1 and sister Natasha
pointed followed by a goal from Amy Murray before Harps got on the
scoresheet with a goal that came from a free awarded to harps which
Sinead Maguire sent sailing into the top corner of the net. Truaghs
ability to take their scores was the difference between the teams and
they continued with points from C Mohan/3, Niamh Mc Quaid/ 2, and Amy
Murray/1 while Harps only registered another point from Una Rooney for
the remainder of the half.

Half time score Truagh 2-8 Harps 1-1

In the second half, Harps did up the tempo and in fact outscored
Truagh by 8 points to 7, however it was Truagh to the fore once again
to start the scoring with points from sisters Natasha and Caoimhe
Mohan, Harps came back with one of their own from young Danielle
Mulligan, Eileen Mc Kenna then pointed for Truagh, while Una Rooney
put a free over for the Harps. Both teams were now playing some
wonderful open football, free flowing with good tackles going in.
Caoimhe Mohan who excelled for truagh put over another point but this
was cancelled out by Eimear O’Rourke, then a foul by Truagh’s Ellen Mc
Meel on Una Rooney resulted in Ellen receiving a yellow and sent to
the sinbin for 10 mins. For the remainder of the half Harps rattled
over five more points (all from play ) from Una Rooney/2, Sinead
Maguire/1, Emma Clerkin/1 and one from Danielle Mulligan, with Caoimhe
Mohan sending over her last followed by 2 points from Amy Murray
