Senior- The boys played Kilanny last Sunday morning and lost by a margin of 2 points. Full time score was Drumhowan 1-8 to Killanny’s 8 points. Please come out and support the boys in their Championship against Clones next week in Scotstown at 5.30.
Bs- Beat Corduff with a full time score of 4-6 to 14 points.
Minors – St Pats 2.14 Inniskeen 3.8 St Pats got their championship campaign back on track with a hard fought win over Inniskeen last week. Iniskeen were the better side for long periods but a strong finish to the game saw St Pats run out winners by 3 points at the end. They were due to play Tyholland on Tuesday last where a win would secure a semi-final spot. All attention now turns to the Minor League final against Corduff which takes place on Tuesday next in Oram at 6-15pm. Best of luck to the team and management and we appeal to supporters to please come out and roar on the team.
Under 16s – St Pats 4-8 Cremartin 3-7 St Pats won the division 3 league title with a 4 point win over Cremartin in Oram last week. This was an excellent game of football played between 2 evenly matched teams. Cremartin dominated the first quarter and will regret a number of wides that should have seen them further in front at half time where they led by a point. However in the second half St Pats upped their game and with some excellent passing moves and finishing went ahead. Cremartin kept trying and it took a couple of goal line clearances and saves to keep us in front. After the game players and supporters had refreshments back in the community centre. Well done to the team and management of Martin Duffy, Colm Duffy, Gavin Sheridan and Enda Monaghan . The championship semi-final takes place next week Thursday September 6th with a game in Drumhowan against the winners of Aughnamullen and Seans .
Under 14s- Played Scotstown last night in the league.
Under 12s – Drumhowan play Clontibret in the Div 3 shield final in Ballybay on Saturday at 11am. Again best of luck to the team and management who have been training hard from February. Also we appeal to supporters to come out and see the stars of tomorrow in action.
Under 10 Go Games – Drumhowan took part in a blitz held in Oram on Saturday morning last. We fielded a young side as we had older players away at community games finals. They had games against Doohamlet, Oram and Corduff and performed well against teams much bigger in size. Thanks to the Oram club for their hospitality after the game – much appreciated.
Under 8 /10 – The next blitz for the Under 8 team takes place in St Tiernachs Park Clones on Saturday September 9th. Under 10 squad also play in Clones on Saturday September 23rd.
Community Games- Well done to community games rugby team who won bronze at weekend.
